The maha-mantra

Krishna’s holy name
The Hare Krishna maha-mantra is both a spiritual practice and the goal it gradually reveals. It needs no prior qualification or intellectual preparation—anyone can chant and hear it.
Hare is a call to the Lord’s spiritual energy, while Krishna and Rama address the Supreme Lord, the source of all joy. Chanted sincerely, the mantra becomes a prayer for grace and loving service: a direct way to awaken our original relationship with God and make spiritual life tangible in the present.
